Wonderful old square compact with the historical Marshall Fields clock on the front in goldtone with a heavily etched design on a brushed silvertone background that has an etched wall and buildings in the background. The face of the clock is brushed silvertone with etched Roman numerals and bright goldtone hands set at 1:55. The inside has a mirror in the lid and inside the bottom is a compartment that opens to hold powder. The lid of the compartment is marked “Wadsworth” in cursive letters and “MADE IN U.S.A.”. There is a square powder puff that is also marked “Wadsworth”. It appears that this was never used. The back of the compact is a brushed goldtone. The mirror has hazing. There are a few tiny black spots on the silvertone top and a scratch on the bottom right corner of the top. The push-button closure of the compact and of the compartment on the inside are in good working condition. Measures 3" x 3" x 3/8". Compact comes in a small felt pouch. A nice piece of history of a Chicago icon.

Sterling silver square compact with 2 stripes of flowers down the front. The edges are scalloped. The inside contains a mirror in the lid and has a powder compartment in the bottom with a powder puff on top of it. Compact is marked “STERLING” inside. Compact measures 2 1/4" across and is 7/16" deep. The safety clasp is in good working condition. There are light service scratches consistent with normal wear.

White enameled metal violin with a purple velvet pin cushion. There is a little cupid that leans against the violin with an imitation pearl at its feet. There is also an imitation pearl at the bottom of the violin. There are also 2 large emerald cut dark green rhinestones in the top of the neck of the violin. The back is marked “SF” which I believe stands for “Sam Fink”, although it looks like a Florenza piece. Measures 4 1/4" x 1 1/2".

Old goldtone rectangle cigarette lighter covered in prong set clear rhinestones on 1 side. The bottom has 2 large areas to fill the lighter, one of which is marked “EVANS FUEL”. The ashtray is a small oval with a vine design on the inside and on the bottom. It is unsigned. There is a little piece of metal to hold a cigarette on the edge of it. It has 3 little feet on the bottom. The edge is covered by prong set clear rhinestones. Lighter measures 1 1/2" x 1/2". Ashtray measures 2 1/4" x 1 1/2" and stands 3/4" tall. These are definitely from a bygone era when smoking was accepted...and glamorous.
Small goldtone grasshopper box that is green enameled. The back is a magnetic lid and flips open to a blue enameled interior. I'm not exactly sure what you could put in this box since it is so small. The inside is marked "MONET". There are 2 topaz-colored rhinestone eyes. Measures 2 1/2" x 1 1/2". Very cute and bright. $21.00.

Unusual soft plastic green-gray pearlized marble looking strips braided through silvertone metal rods to form a rectangle. The top and bottom are swirled pearlized hard plastic rectangles. There are 6 silvertone feet on the bottom and a goldtone clasp on the front. The handle is clear lucite. Measures 8 1/2" long, 4" wide, and 3 1/4" tall. There is a crack from the rivot on the top from the handle on the right that you can see in the light.

This is a wonderful goldtone set that consists of a double-decker purse/compact, a lighter, and a double picture frame. Each piece is covered in a basket weave pattern of white mother of pearl with pieces of dark abalone in between. The purse has 2 separate compartments that open. One holds money, or possibly back in the day, cigarettes. The other compartment opens and holds a treasure trove of items. There is an imitation toroise shell comb with its own little hinged holder, a hinged tube that holds lipstick which still has some really bright red lipstick in it. The lipstick says "Dana" along the edge near the bottom, and the bottom is marked "Tabu Nassau Rose Red, Dana Perfumes Distributor, New York - Chicago". There is a small compartment that opens up and still holds powder. There is also a little worn square powder puff that sits atop the powder compartment. A mirror is inside the lid. There is a snake chain type handle. There is a matching lighter that is marked "Gem" in cursive letters. The lighter still has its wick sticking out of the top. I do not know if it works, because I don't want to put lighter fluid in it to try it out. There is also a little double picture frame that is hinged so it can sit on a dresser or be carried in a purse. The frame does not lock closed, nor was it made to. Inside are 2 pictures of movie stars from the 50s. The man is Van Johnson, who starred in the Caine Mutiny, but I don't know who the woman is. Both round inserts that hold the pictures in the frame and the plastic protective covers are still intact. This set is spectacular. There is some very light surface scratching on the bottom of the purse. Also, the only actual damage I could find is that one of the hinge covers of the purse is missing. I took a picture so that you could see it. However, it causes no problems with the mechanics of the hinge. ALL of the mother of pearl and abalone is in place and present and in great condition. A really well made accessory set.

Wonderful old goldtone set that is covered with imitation pearls with lines of prong set rhinestones on them. The compact contains a pink powder puff and screen for powder, but has never been used, so contains no powder. There is also a hinged lipstick tube and insert. The insert is empty because, it too, has never been used. The inside lid of the compact holds a mirror. The mirror has an original sticker on it that says "trickettes by Wiesner". There are 2 dark spots in the lower right corner of the mirror, otherwise the mirror is in good condition. The closure of the compact works fine. There is some scratching on the sides and back of the compact. The comb is hinged and opens to an imitation tortoise shell comb that is in great condition with no missing teeth. The comb looks brand new. The perfume bottle has a gold plastic lid and a black glass or metal (couldn't tell) base. The bottle is empty and does not appear to have ever been used. The bottle also comes with a little plastic funnel so you can fill it without spilling perfume everywhere. Compact measures 2 1/2" x 3" x 7/8". The comb measures 4 1/8" x 1". Bottle measures 2 1/2" tall. This set is beautiful and would look great on display on a dresser.

This is a very light weight carved ivory cigarette holder that has a hole all the way through it and is functional (although untested by me). Measures 3" x 3/8". Really neat old piece from a time when smoking was glamorous and not so taboo.
BACK VIEW
Very old glove holder made of an unusual round braided chain with a topaz colored glass bead that slides up and down it. The bottom serves as a mesh "sling" so that your gloves can be laid across it and then the glass bead can be slid down to hold your gloves in place. The clasp is tight and can be clipped onto an old belt loop or button hole. The ring around the glass bead is marked "MARQUARDT". The holder dangles 5" and the bead is 1/2" across. I've never seen a glove holder quite like this one.
Wonderful satin collar with glass imitation pearls and silvertone glass seed beads sewn onto it. Larger glass imitation pearls dangle from each point of the collar. Back has a clothtag which says “Hand Made a ‘Tip Top’ Fashion, Baar & Beards, Inc., Japan”. Collar has a hook and eye closure. Necklace measures 2" wide and 2 1/4" wide including an imitation pearl dangle.

Small rectangle silvertone pill box with real stones set into the top of it. The stones appear to be turquoise, lapis, malachite, coral, but I am not sure of my natural stones other than to know that these are not plastic or glass. Some of the stones are separated by thin metal pieces. The inside of the box is white enameled. The safety clasp is in good working condition. Measures 1 ½" x 1" x ½". This box is in great condition.

Nice goldtone filigree oval box on wheels that looks like a carriage with a handle, with a clear glass prong set top. Large topaz colored rhinestone in the front of the box. Pink cloth over cardboard insert in bottom of box. Measures 5 3/4" x 3 ½". Wonderful condition. $47.00.

Wonderful Black enamel compact with a white enamel center with a pink enamel rose on it with green leaves. Inside has a mirror in one half and a place where powder used to be in the other half. There are some light scratches from usual wear. Measures 3 ½" across and is 3/8" deep. Closure is in good working condition. There is one little place on the mirror where the silver is gone and places where it looks as if tape was across the mirror in 3 stripes. Good vintage condition.

This is a very nice smaller purse made by Whiting & Davis. The mesh is white enamel. The frame and chain are goldtone. The clasp has clear rhinestones glued in around 1 prong set clear baguette. The inside is a dark royal purple satin lining with a pocket. There is a tag inside the purse that says “Whiting & Davis Co. Mesh Bags, Trade Mark Reg., Made in U.S.A.”. The inside of the frame itself is also stamped with the Whiting & Davis Co. traditional logo. It is also stamped “Made in U.S.A.” and “2301". The interior and exterior of this purse are in great condition and it doesn’t look like it was ever used. The only flaw I could find was that, on VERY close inspection, the baguette rhinestone is starting to get a bit of a gray look to it. Measures 7" across the bottom and is 5" tall.

These are old white pearlized plastic sunglasses with green glass bifocal lenses in them. The curves of the glasses have light blue and black stripes on them. The glasses are marked “USA 5 ½” and “Harlequin”. Nice old glasses measure 5" x 1 ½".

Bright goldtone mirror with a filigree back set with a green marbleized cabachon, 6 imitation pearls, and 6 small green beads. The handle looks like a roman column with ivy wrapped around it. The front is set with a small round mirror with goldtone flowers around the edge. Bottom of handle is marked "SF".

This is a neat little accessory. This is a goldtone "purse" with a clear plastic top filled with multi-colored pieces of glitter and long squiggly pieces of goldtone glitter. It has a goldtone chain for a handle and actually has 2 layers that open. The top holds a mirror and has a place for powder. The rectangle puff inside looks brand new and has never been used. It says "Fifth Avenue" on it and another word that looks like "Zell". The bottom layer is empty, but could probably hold change, a hanky, or anything else you might want to carry in it. On the side is a lipstick tube held on with 2 clamp like hooks. The tube is empty and also appears never to have been used. The back has a lined design. Lids click tight and are in good working condition. Item is in great condition. This little purse measures 3 3/4" long by 2 1/4" tall.
This square compact is a wonderful WWII collectible. The front has the Army insignia eagle on the front and says "U.S. Army" above it. There is red, white, and blue enamel which has worn off quite a bit on the front. The back is a swirled line pattern. The inside is chocked full of different types of makeup. A mirrored piece of metal flips out to see your reflection in it. A small rectangle area which I believe is black mascara that has powder over it is at the top right next to a mascara/eyebrow brush. Below that, which isn't pictured very well, is a small hinged compartment marked "Lip Cream" and "Eye Shadow". It lifts open to reveal bright red lip cream and bright blue eye shadow cream. Below that is an empty slot where I believe a pencil used to be. Finally, the bottom part of the lower part of the compact has a rectangle of powdered rouge. Below that is another hinged compartment that has the residue of powder that it used to hold still in it. The metal appears to be brass. Considering its age, it is in very good condition. Lid closes tight and is in good working condition. All hinges are in good working condition also. Measures 2 1/8" square and sits 7/16" high. Packed full of lots of makeup for such a tiny compact.
Wonderful old Whiting & Davis purse made out of aluminum mesh with light creme colored enamel on it. The handle is an old yellow plastic with a double-link plastic chain and 2 flowers that slide next to each other and snap into place to close the purse. The inside of the purse has a dark blue lining with 2 pockets for items. There is a tear in the bottom of the inside lining. The tag inside says “Whiting & Davis Alumesh Bags, Made in U.S.A., Pat. 78,124". The patent information indicates that the design patent was applied for in March 2, 1928 and was patented in March 26, 1929. You can check it out at the United States Patents and Trademarks website and then by clicking the "Images" button. A wonderfully made piece of Whiting & Davis.

This round goldtone compact is engraved with a wavy and floral design. The back is a graduated circle pattern and marked "U.S.A." The inside has a mirror in one half and room for powder in the other half. The top has a loop and could possibly be a pendant. The catch and the hinge are in good working condition. Measures 2 1/2" across.
What a cutey! This pink metal cat has 2 magenta rhinestone eyes and a pink velvet back that can be used as a pin cushion. The head nods when you touch it. The tips of the ears and the sides of the feet have some pink paint wear, otherwise in good condition. Signed on the bottom "FLORENZA". Cat measures 2 1/2" long, 1" wide, and 1" tall. Would go great on any dresser!
Another wonderful little perfume sachet put out by Avon in the shape of a mandolin. Top of this goldtone mandolin opens to reveal a perfume sachet. The front of the mandolin is nicely detailed and the back has a lined pattern. The inside of the lid is marked "AVON" with a copyright symbol. Mandolin comes in PART of its original box. Unfortunately I do not have a lid. It also comes with 3 little boxes of Perfume Glace refill - 1 in Moonwind scent and 2 in Elusive scent. In very good condition. Measures 2 3/8" tall x 1" across. Another really nice Avon collectible.

Oval goldtone pillbox stamped "Florenza" inside. 1 large pink glass oval moonstone cabachon surrounded by 6 pink rhinestones. The faceted bottom of the pink cabachon can be seen through an oval cutout in the inside of the lid - it's own peek-a-boo! Sides and top are decorated with curves and metal beads. Side catch is very tight. Box measures 1 1/2" x 1" and is 3/4" tall. In excellent condition.
